Glasgow – UK
A rally in the centre of Glasgow was attended by members and supporters of The Anti-Injustice Movement and Glasgow Love Police. Two megaphones and some home made muffins drew the attention of the crowd while two large banners made for this occasion by a local artist drew the crowds closer. Over 500 signatures were collected across campaigns to Free Sakineh, End Stoning and Remove Iran from the UN Commission On The Status of Women. We spoke to a wide range of people including men, women, children, parents, grandparents, a hen party, a stag party, members of a football team, tour bus operators, Glasgow City Council workers and a local bagpipe player. Everyone was keen to lend their support to the campaign and the day was definately a success. We were all very proud to be representing Glasgow as one of over a hundred other cities around the world, and AIM members were especially proud of their comrades also taking part in events in Niagara Falls, Canada and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In solidarity, and until there is justice for all, The AIM www.antiinjusticemovement.com
Narbonne – France
Narbonne is a so small city, I was not known there and especially the strong wind was our ennemy on this day, blowing everything and blocking us to be more visible in the centre of the place, and even to write on the banners, we finally all gave up and stood behind the pillars.. But I hope that a lot of car drivers looked at us, we collected around 50 signatures and I had anyway an excellent report in a newspaper there http://www.midilibre.com/articles/2010/08/29/NARBONNE-Monique-mobilisee-contre-la-lapidation-1362368.php5 ! I stayed from 11 to 7pm but the other organizations went at 12:30 only, unfortunately and beforehand some people even stole the biggest banner I had to write on it, so I was a bit disappointed. But we did our best, the attraction of the beaches and the big food and music festival would have drawn people away of the place we were standing anyway, but I could not guess it and I am sure I would not have had an authorization to stand in the middle of the festival, so.. NO REGRETS! And ready for other protests and networking to stand up against the human rights abuses and dictatorships!

Members of Islam who claim that it is a religion of peace lack credibility in the light of the barbarous act of torture by stoning. These evil acts have no place in a decent and civilized world and effectively negate any claims of peace that followers of the religion proclaim.
May God be with Islam’s victims and give them justice.
no more stoning, no more arbitary detention, freedom, acces to law, equal rights for women all over the world please
