An international conference on stoning was held in Naples- Italy by the Neapolitan Women.

Mina Ahadi and Shiva Mahbobi from the International Committee against Stoning, Nadia Mahmood a women's rights activist from Iraq and two members of the Italian parliament  were the speakers of this conference.  Mina Ahadi, the coordinator of the International Committee against has proposed 11^th  July , the day that, Maryam Ayoobi, an Iranian woman and mother of three was stoned to death  in Iran,  as the international day against stoning and the conference has declared this day.
