Following is the summary of Nazmiye Halvasi and Young Women University Students press release from the event called "WE ARE BUILDING WALLS AGAINST STONING" took place in Ankara on 27th of August 2003.

Dear Press Members and Public,

Today we are here to let our voice to be heard against a wildness, which is going to take place on shameful pages of history. Today in the court in Nigeria Amina Lawal might be sentenced to death by some others beliefs and rules. We want to stop Amina’s stoning sentence.  We are saying same things today against sovereign social order as we said on 27th of May and 3rd of June. Take off your dirty hands from our body, from our conscious and our hopes.

We are asking, why are you teaching us to obey since early ages? Why are you not educate us and imprison into four walls? Why always somebody else is making decision in place of us? We don’t want to obey everything you say, we don’t want to conform to some others rules and decisions. We don’t want to be stoned. We don’t want to be subjected to violence. Not any more. NO!

Today we are voice of Amina Lawal, Semse Allak, Suna Yilmaz Were here to share their oppression, constrained feeling and lives. Today our heart is beating for women whose bodies are claimed by somebody else and their conscious are confused. Now we are painting this wall with our endless dreams. Then we are going to take the wall which is covered with our dreams with us and left all the pressures, prohibitions and all you can’t do, behind us.  Peace barricade, on each brush, is going to pull out another stone from the bloody power walls.  Either stoning is going to be left behind or the wall is going to witness our shame in front of history.  We let a little snow peace to go from the hill to down.  We write on it:  27th of August is not to be a shame day but to be freedom day of Amina Lawal.

Stop killing Aminas, Semses or Sunas in Nigeria or in Turkey or in anywhere in the World.  We don’t want to watch this barbarousness and we will not watch it.  One more time and we hope for the last time we wrote on the snow piece to become an avalanche.  Wipe out shame of stoning from history of humanity BECAUSE HUMANITY CANNOT LIVE WITH THIS SHAME!!!
