We have been informed that on 20 April, the
Pakistani government has sentenced Zafaran Bibi to death by stoning. She was raped by her brother in law and
became pregnant as a result. Your
government did not support her but even sentenced her to stoning. This cannot be tolerated.
On behalf of the International Committee against
Stoning which is representing 160 human rights’ organizations, individuals and
well-known advocates all around the world, on behalf of millions of people who
are affiliated to this International network, We express our strongest protest against this
medieval treatment of women and demand that your government cease the stoning
of Zafaran Bibi immediately.
